These lakes are a hidden gem, but won't be hidden for long. As we hike up the valley towards the lakes, we will smell the incredible mountain air and get views of the South Canadian Rockies. We start our adventure by crossing the South Castle River and then we escape into the wilderness.

SEPT. 27 - 29

Let's face it, we need to keep those hidden gems... hidden.

DESCRIPTION

We have a special location in mind for you, but we don't want to give away this location to everyone. This is one of our all-time favourite spots in the South Canadian Rockies and there are loads of larch trees, cool finds and beautiful scenery.

We will drive to a campsite near the trail head on Friday night. We have a big day on Saturday, so we want to capitalize on our time. From here, we have a creek crossing and beautiful views of the Great Divide. We just might not see anyone else on the trail. We will camp at an alpine lake. On the second day, we will pack up camp and head towards a very cool historical find in the Rockies. We don't have to haul all of our backpacks up the mountain to this location, so we will drop some gear and then head up. After this amazing location, we will head back to our backpacks and hike to the vehicles along the rivers of the headwaters.
